Care for Women Ministry Supports Nyohini Children’s Home for Third Year Ahead of Christmas

The Care for Women Ministry, in collaboration with Holy Nations Evangelistic and Prayer Ministry in Netherlands and other partners, has for the third time this year extended support to the Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale, donating assorted items as part of efforts to bring joy and comfort to orphans and vulnerable children as the Christmas season approaches.

The donated items included five bags of rice, assorted drinks, clothing, sanitary pads, a baby play station, toiletries, tissues, baby shampoo, cooking oil, biscuits, cornflakes, baby diapers, and other essential supplies. The items were presented by the Chief Executive Officer of the ministry, Reverend Mrs Sarah Yamusah-Azeka.
Speaking during the presentation, Rev. Mrs Sarah Yamusah-Azeka noted that Christmas is a season of celebration and love, and children in orphanages should not be left out simply because they lack parental care.
“We are here once again at the Tamale Children’s Home to show love to these children as Christmas approaches. We come here every year to celebrate with them and ensure they also experience the joy of Christmas. Even though they may not physically see their parents, they have people who care for them and love them,” she said.

She emphasized that the gesture was also aimed at demonstrating God’s love to the children.
“Above all, we want them to know that God loves them. By doing this, they will believe that God truly cares for them,” she added.
Rev. Mrs Sarah Yamusah-Azeka further explained that the initiative is inspired by biblical teachings that encourage Christians to care for the needy, especially orphans and widows.

Receiving the items on behalf of the home, the Housemistress of the Nyohini Children’s Home, Madam Sarah, expressed gratitude to the Care for Women Ministry for remembering the children during the festive season.
She assured that all donated items would be put to good use to support the welfare of the children.
The Care for Women Ministry, according to Rev.Mrs Sarah Yamusah-Azeka, continues to undertake such charitable activities as part of its commitment to caring for vulnerable members of society.
