The northern regional minister, Mr.Shani Alhassan Saibu has indicated that out of the sixteen nominees of the president for the position of MMDCE’s in the region, ten (10) has so far been confirmed with six (6) more to go.
According to the minister the region came up with very keen contestants with a tough cross examination and vetting leading to the submission of 4 recommended list to the presidency for onward consideration.
The minister noted that it is an indication that the party is made up abled men and women who can run the affairs of the nation successfully.
The northern regional minister made this known during the confirmation of the presidents nominee for the office the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Tamale.
He meanwhile urged members of the assembly who are mandated to confirm the nominees, to endeavor to support all 16 to come out successfully.
He called on all to desist from both political, religious and tribal inclinations during this confirmation process of the nominees in the region, with a call on all to appreciate the presidents nominees with an overwhelming 100% confirmation.
All nominated MMDCEs have to be voted for by assembly members in their various MMDAs before they will be issued with appointment letters.
The confirmations are being done within a 21-day window.
The Northern Regional Coordinating Council, which began the processes on Friday Sep 24,2021 is said to climax on Tuesday Oct 5,2021 the confirmation of the president’s MMDCE nominees in the region.
