The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Solid Rock Ventures, a shop that deals in Quality mobile phones, parts and accessories , has urged individuals and philanthropists to invest their widows might to carter for orphans at care homes in Ghana .
He noted that the government can not bear the sole responsibility of providing for the needs of orphans in various orphanages in the country, hence the need to support with the gesture.
Mr Ben Matanawui made this known at the Nyohani Children’s home on Saturday July 1, where he donated items to the orphanage for their upkeep in the company of his wife Mrs. Georgina Matanawui.
The donation which was to commemorate his 55th birthday, saw the CEO of solid rock ventures donate items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the house.
On her part, Mrs. Georgina Matanawui assured the children of their consistent visits noting that “Just as we eat, you’ll also eat”.
She further urged them to be good kids, respect their caregivers and see themselves as a family.
The donated items include; Rice, Oil, Tomato purée, Onions, Baby formula,Milo, Milk, Drinks, Biscuits, Diapers, Washing powder, Tissue rolls among several others.
The caretaker in-charge who received the donation, Madam Sarah Sulemana, extended their appreciation to the CEO and Director of Solid Rock ventures, Mr & Mrs Matanawui.
She used the opportunity to call on the general public to emulate their kind gesture to help cater for the Children in the orphanage.
