2026 World Cup: We will show our culture – Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo

Forward Antoine Semenyo says they will show the Ghanaian culture at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

The four-time African champions will make their fifth appearance at the global showpiece, which has been scheduled to be co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Ghana will come up against Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.

Speaking to CBS Sports, the Manchester City forward said, “We want to show our culture.”

Semenyo also described how he will celebrate with his Black Stars teammates should he score against England.

“If I score for Ghana against England at the World Cup, I will probably dance with the whole team.”

Ghana will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, before taking on England in Boston. The group stage will conclude with a match against Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.

The Black Stars, having been eliminated at the group stage in their previous two World Cup appearances, in Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022, are determined to make a more significant impact on football’s biggest stage in 2026.
