2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Otto Addo suffers second defeat

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has suffered a second defeat in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana lost 2-0 to Sudan on Tuesday afternoon in round four of the qualifying series at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Benghazi, Libya.

This defeat followed a 1-0 loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium back in September 2024.

Aside from the defeats, the Black Stars drew goalless against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium last Thursday in their first-leg clash.

Before that, Ghana also drew 1-1 against Niger in the second game of the qualifiers.

Ghana sits third in Group F with two points from four games and is now on the verge of not qualifying for the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.

The Black Stars will be back in action in November for the final two games of the qualifiers against Niger and Angola.

These two games will be played during the November international break.
