Dr. Apaak denies offering Assembly Members Ghc3,000 to vote against DCE nominee

Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has denied social media reports suggesting that he was offering Ghc3,000.00 to Assembly Members to vote against President Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Daniel Kwame Gariba.

According to Dr. Apaak, the allegation of him sharing monies to influence the outcome of the DCE election in his area does not only lack sustenance but dead on arrival.

In a disclaimer issued to counter the allegation, the NDC MP is said to be “Focused on serving his people and not concerned about who becomes DCE except to say anyone who becomes DCE should cooperate towards development in the District.”

DISCLAIMER

The attention of the Hon Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Hon. Dr Clement Apaak has been drawn to a fake circulation, claiming he is sharing Ghc 3,000 to assemblymen and women of Builsa South District to vote against the President’s nominee for the position of DCE for Builsa South.

I want to unequivocally state that, the Hon. Member of Parliament has not paid any money nor called any assemblyman or woman with regards to the upcoming confirmation on Friday.

If the MP, has such money, he will spend it addressing pressing issues in Builsa South; buying furniture for school children, drilling boreholes, paying school fees, roofing ripped off schools etc.

The Hon. MP is focused on serving his people and not concerned about who becomes DCE except to say anyone who becomes DCE  should cooperate towards development in the District.

The general public and the good people of Builsa South are kindly advised to regard it as fake. This is cooked under the dilapidating kitchen of falsehood and served on a cracked plate of malicious character assassination.

The Hon. Assemblymen and women have Builsa South at heart, hence they will put Builsa South first in everything.”
