Tamale Area Church of Pentecost launches Peace Campaign

The Tamale Area of the Church of Pentecost has launched for the second time, a peace campaign aimed at drumming home the need for peace before, during and after the 2020 elections.
The nationwide event which is the churches own way of advocating for peace will be the second of its kind after its maiden launch during the 2016 elections.
Speaking with FiilaNews, the Tamale Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Isaac Nii Kotei Djani noted that when the nation prospers, the church will also follow suit, Hence the peace of the Nation is the responsibility of the church.

He believes the peaceful outcome of the 2016 peace campaign agents is an indication that this year’s will not be an exception .
Apostle Kotie added that the church will take it upon themselves to propagate the message of peace on various media platforms, and also organize peace durbars  across the country With various stakeholders.
Speaking to Mrs Rosina Deko, a pastors wife of the Church of Pentecost, she appealed to all Ghanaians especially the youth, to maintain the peace we enjoy as a country.
She noted that women and children are the most affected during conflict, hence a call on the men to consider this vulnerable group in society during this electioneering period.
Over the years, Ghana has organized seven(7) successful elections with three (3) transitions of power from one party to the other.
Meanwhile in December 2020, Ghanaians will ones again be tested by the rest of the world with the upcoming elections.
Representatives from the Security agencies, the electoral commission, peace council, and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and chiefs were all in attendance.
