Ghana’s Andre Ayew is set to begin his third year in the English Premier League after his West Ham United side departed for Austria to begin an 11 day training camp.

The country side ambiance of Bad Walsterdorf will host the team before they move on to Germany to continue with their European tour.

The high altitude that exists is expected to help the players with muscle development and endurance.

An average elevation of 910 metres above sea level across the country, compared to just 162m in the UK, the players’ muscles will be forced to work harder to take in oxygen.

The deputy Black Stars skipper made 25 appearances in his first season with the Hammers racking up a total of 1440 minutes in the process.

Despite missing a healthy chunk of the season through injury he managed to finish the season strong by finding the back of the net 6 times while putting in 3 assists.

As the club’s record signing following his 20.6 million pound move from Swansea in the summer of 2016,Andre,will be expected to play a leadership role as West Ham seek to make up for the lost ground suffered in the last campaign.
