An infant, presumed to be less than a year old was spotted lifeless in a car crash on the Gariba Lodge highway on Wednesday afternoon, May25,2021.
Fiila News gathered that, the crush involving a brand new tricycle with registration number NR 3033-21 and a cargo car with the registration number GS 5573 – 12 collided head on, Killing the infant on the spot and rendering the other seven (7) occupants injured.
An eyewitness who who spoke to FiilaNews recounted that the tricycle did an over taking and in so doing met the cargo car in the other Laine, leading to the untimely death of the infant who’s Sex is still unknown.
FiilaNews gathered that, two males and five females together with the driver were on board the tricycle summing up to seven passengers.
Also the passengers in the tricycle who were unconscious were rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for immediate care.
On the other hand, the two in the cargo car were saved but proceeded to the hospital for a medical attention.
Meanwhile, police has commenced investigations in the matter.
