Seven apply for UG Vice Chancellor position

The University of Ghana (UG) has initiated processes to find a successor to the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu who is retiring at the end of July 2021.

The search committee has received applications from seven candidates.

They are the current Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development, Prof. Felix Ankomah Asante Professor, the Director, Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), Prof. Peter Quartey; an Institute for Population Professor, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, the Provost, College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori; the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Godfred Alufar Bokpin, and the Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Daniel Wesley Lund.

The search committee has put out a notice asking for relevant information that may facilitate its work.

Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu replaced Prof Ernest Aryeetey as Vice-Chancellor.
