Police caution troublemakers ahead of district level elections

The District Commander of the Jamestown Police Station, Superintendent Michael Odame is cautioning aspirants and electorates against any attempt to incite trouble in the various electoral areas.

His call follows an attack on one of the candidates during a campaign session last week which led to a number of injuries to some residents.

He said the police will do their best to ensure that the area is properly secured for the polls and will ensure that people whose conduct jeopardize peace or security in the area are dealt with.

The district-level election comes off on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. The polls will see Ghanaians vote to elect their assemblymen and unit committee members.
