The programs manager at Savana Signatures (SAVSIGN), Alhaji Abdul Rashid Imoro has noted that oral sex is a dangerous sexual acts that the public must desist from.
It is one of the major sexual acts that can easily expose one to Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI’s), Mr. Imoro noted.
He made this known during a media engagement today Wednesday, 30 October, 2019, on adolescent reproductive health in Tamale.
The media engagement as part of the Get up Speak out (GUSO) project implemented by six partners consisting of PPAG, NORSAC, Curious Minds, Hope for Future Generations (HFFG), Savanna Signatures and the Presbyterian Health Services is aimed at improving sexuality education among other sexual reproductive health issues.
In his presentation Alhaji Rashid Imoro underscored the need for early sexuality education noting that most of the key skills, attitudes and knowledge can be taught at a younger age and also help tackle questions bothering these adolescents.
The workshop is intended to broaden the understanding of media practitioner’s on the current Sexual Reproductive Health situation of young people in order to create an enabling environment for their reportage.
