Odartey Lamptey’s ex-wife ordered by court to move out of East Legon property as she loses appeal

The Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal filed by the ex-wife of former Black Stars player, Nii Odartey Lamptey, regarding the ownership of a property at East Legon.

Gloria Appiah had appealed to the court to grant her ownership of the ex-Ghanaian international’s seven-bedroom house at East Legon.

This, she wanted, as part of her recompense after their failed marriage in 2013. Ms Appiah was aggrieved after an Accra High Court ordered her to vacate the property so, she decided to appeal the ruling.

But the court dismissed her case as all three judges who sat on it said she did not deserve the property, thereby ordering her to move out as soon as possible.

The football world was in shock when Odartey Lamptey opened up that the three children he raised with ex-wife Gloria Appiah, were not his biological children.

He admitted to hearing rumours about his wife’s promiscuity a few years ago but was in the process of investigating when she compounded matters by demanding divorce over the disagreement they had had, over the first child’s school fees.

According to Odartey Lamptey, close pals advised him to undertake a DNA test on the kids after obtaining many recordings of his ex-wife and her activities.

Nii Odartey Lamptey said the DNA result was a defining moment for him.

He said he was happy the test opened his eyes and he trusted it more because his wife then, did not challenge the results.

Odartey Lamptey divorced Gloria Appiah and remarried and has been blessed with two girls.

In an interview with Accra-based Kasapa FM after the court ruling, he said, “I feel happy now because it’s been over seven years of legal battle but I thank God that finally, her appeal against me has been thrown out and the court has ordered her to vacate my mansion.
