Members of Girl Girls Association, a social group based in Tamale , has donated items to the Tamale Children’s Home at Nyohini, on Monday December 27, 2021.
The items include assorted drinks, rice, biscuits, boxes of soap, detergent, toiletries, tinned tomatoes, Lactogen etc.
Donating the items to the charity home, the Publicity and organizing secretary of the association, Mrs. Akosua Kwatemaa Boakye popularly known as AKB, indicated that their organization saw the need to reach out to the inmates and show love especially during this festive season.
She added that the group decided to support the charity home on humanitarian grounds and to demonstrate their commitment to supporting and protecting the less privileged in society.
In receiving the items, the Incharge of the orphanage, Madam Janet Boahemaa Ansu extended gratitudes to the group for the gesture done them.
She further noted the donated items will be put to good use to the benefit of all inmates of the orphanage.
She meanwhile called on philanthropist and benevolent organizations to come to the aid of the Tamale Children’s home and give it a face lift.
