MDS Lancet holds free Laboratory screening for Indigenes of Tamale

Over hundreds of people within Tamale and its environs today enjoyed medical screening to help know their health status at no cost.

The one day exercise which was organized by MDS-Lancet Laboratories was aimed at reaching out to its customer as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In an interview with the Senior Marketing Officer for MDS-Lancet, Mr. Benjamin Kudjo indicated that, for the past Eight Years, they operated a collection deport where samples were collected and transported to the Nation’s Capital for the laboratory tests,  and onward transfer of result electronically to its Tamale office.

According to Mr. Kudjo the delay in setting up an operational laboratory in Tamale was due to the cost involved in setting up an advance laboratory.

He further indicated that the exercise was a comprehensive one, with a Doctor on site to interpret the results to customers who had interest in knowing their health status.

Some of the screening that took place included Fasting Blood Glucose, Cholesterol among others.

MDS-Lancet Laboratories now operates fully in Tamale, with its advanced equipments and well trained personnel.

Lancet is an internationally accredited laboratory in Ghana and has been operating in Tamale for the past Eight years.
