CAF Confederation Cup: Samuel Inkoom advises Dreams FC to stay calm and positive ahead of Zamalek clash in Kumasi

Following Dreams FC's impressive stalemate against Zamalek in the CAF Confederations Cup semifinals, former Ghana international Samuel Inkoom has offered advice to the team ahead of the crucial second leg.

The Still Believe lads held the 2019 champions to a goalless draw in the first leg at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Despite creating scoring opportunities, the Ghana FA Cup holders showed resilience and determination to prevent Zamalek from scoring.

Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi delivered an outstanding performance to deny Zamalek from finding the back of the net in the epic clash.

Ahead of the second leg in Kumasi, the former Kotoko and Hearts of Oak defender asserted Dreams FC can achieve the result they want if they stay calm and positive.

“This is the time Ghanaians have to support Dreams FC,” Inkoom told Maakye Sports, acknowledging the significance of the occasion.

“They should stay calm, and be positive, and I think they can get the results.” He emphasized the importance of mindset in facing a formidable opponent like Zamalek and expressed confidence that they could achieve success with the right approach.

Meanwhile, the former Asante Kotoko defender has expressed optimism about Dreams FC’s ability to beat Zamalek in the cagy encounter.

“Zamalek can be beaten. They can lose but all will depend on the mindset they take to the game.” He added.

Dreams FC are unbeaten at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Confederation Cup and will aim to upset the Egyptian outfit this weekend to book a historic qualification to the finals.
