Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum commends players after Medeama victory

Asante Kotoko head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has praised his side following last Sunday’s win against Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated Medeama SC by a lone goal in the matchday 13 fixture played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

George Mfegue scored in the 78th minute to secure victory for his side, extending their lead at the top to six points.

Speaking to the press after the game, the former WAFA coach praised his team after the victory against the Mauve and Yellow.

“I saw the best of my team today”. He said

“I think this is the best performance I have seen, especially in the first half.

“We were dominant and controlled the tempo of the game, we were just on top of the game especially in the first half.

Asante Kotoko also unveiled new signing Justice Blay to the supporters before the start of the game.

The former Medeama midfielder joins the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal.

“It’s OFFICIAL! Judge Afa N’adwa! We have re-signed midfielder Justice Blay on a 2-year deal. He’ll be eligible to participate in the 21/22 season from Feb 1, 2022”, the club said in a statement.

Asante Kotoko are currently on top of the league table with 30 points from 13 games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
