Ghana football legend, Mohammed Polo has thrown his full support and backing to former Black Stars winger Laryea Kingston tipping him as the right man for the Hearts of Oak vacant coaching role.

The 2000 African conquerors suffered a bizarre last week after three of their technical team members left their roles at the club including head coach Kostadine Papic.

With this, the Rainbow club have already appointed the former Vitesse Arnhem forward to take over on interim basis alongside his senior brother and former national goalie Richard Kingston who steps in as replacement for out-gone goalkeeper’s trainer Ben Owu.

However, the Phobians were headed yesterday by their U-15 coach Samuel Nii Noi who guided them to a narrow 3-2 triumph over Ebusua Dwarfs last Sunday to end their four game winless streak in the ongoing campaign.

The ‘Dribbling Magician’ as he’s affectionately known has backed him as the right man for the job stating he’s played football to the highest level and has got everything to become a good coach in the near future. He told Light FM in Kumasi;

“Laryea has tasted football before so he has the requisite skills and experience to become a good manager.”

“This is an opportunity for him to be successful as a young manager. Grinding success at Hearts or Kotoko will certainly make you so let’s see what he brings on board.”

Hearts of Oak will travel to Kumasi, to lock horns with their bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko in their next game to clear out an outstanding week 14 encounter on Sunday.
