Political Scientist and member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has voiced concerns over actions of the party’s leadership, accusing them of prioritizing political power over internal unity.
According to Dr. Amoako Baah, the party’s focus on winning the upcoming 2024 elections seems to disregard the collateral damage inflicted on their own members.
“All they are focused on is winning power, it does not matter who they step on in trying to win that power,” he said.
“It’s adding to the disunity, it’s unnecessary strife,” the Political Science lecturer stressed.
Speaking on Yen Nsempa with Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB, Dr. Amoako Baah expressed his dismay, particularly referencing the alleged forced departure of Kyei- Mensah-Bonsu. He argued that such actions are not in line with the expected respect for someone who has served the party for an extended period.
