Let’s join hands to combat crime in our societies – Ps. Edward Kofi Tumsia

The Vice Chairman of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) for Northern Region, Ps. Edward Kofi Tumsia has called on Christian bodies in the country to be supportive in the combat against crime in society.

The Regional Vice Chairman who also doubles as the Regional Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry made this call during the GPCC week celebration in Tamale Wednesday, 5th October 2022.

The celebration which takes into account all churches under the GPCC commenced on Monday, 3rd October 2022, and is scheduled to run through the week till Sunday, 9th October 2022.
Fundamentally, the week’s celebration is meant to strengthen the unity among member churches and also serve as a platform where member churches learn from each and build new initiatives toward the development of the church.

Ps. Tumsia stated that the church can do a lot more to help society besides ministering the gospel.

He said that the weekly celebration also raises funds that will support the activities of the church and also in performing some social duties.

He therefore, called on members and the public to support the fundraising, since this will facilitate their work as a council and aid them to give back to society.

“…we are doing all these things to see how we can also contribute our quota to help the government, society, individuals, and the church” He said

He reiterated that all members of the Christian community should contribute their quota in building a strong economy for the country and also join in the combat against crime in societies through their funds.

“…we want you to help us build the Christian community in the country and make society better to fight crime, sin, evil, and all the things that are fighting against our society…” He emphasized.

Speaking at the same occasion, the Northern regional Overseer of Perez Chapel International Church, Bishop Prosper Felix Agbenyo urged all member churches and members of the various churches to participate in this year’s week celebration since it is essential to their faith strengthening and church union.
