Media foundation for west African educate Journalist on Peace Building in Tamale.

Board Member of the Northern Regional Peace Council(NRPC), Prof Bishop Albert Luguterah has identified politics and politicians as threats to Ghana’s peace and democratic stability.

He says the activities of politicians and political parties are inimical to the peace of the country and therefore advised them to be mindful of their utterances.

He was speaking at a two-day training for some selected journalists from northern, Bono East and Savannah region on Capacity Building to enhance media’s role in conflict resolution, peace building and democratic consolidation in Ghana Through Peace Journalism and fact based conflict sensitive reporting.

The two-day capacity training was put together by the Media Foundation for West Africa.

The Programme Director, Media for Peace and Sustainable Development at the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) Kojo Impraim says the essences of the training is to educate the journalists on skills and knowledge on issues related to peace building and fact-based comprehensive reporting.
