England considering inviting Ghanaian born Kobbie Mainoo in upcoming friendlies

The English National Men’s Football team is eyeing the talented midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who hails from Ghanaian descent.

The 18-year-old sensation, currently with Manchester United, has caught the attention of England Manager Gareth Southgate and his team, who are contemplating including him in upcoming friendly matches.

Reports from football transfer expert Graeme Bailey indicate that Mainoo’s impressive performances have sparked serious interest from the English camp.

The possibility of his inclusion in the squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium in March is under serious consideration.

England, having secured qualification for the Euros, is gearing up for the tournament, set to face Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia in Group C, following their heartbreaking loss to Italy in the 2020 Euros final.

Mainoo’s stellar displays for Manchester United this season, including a memorable winning goal against Wolves in the English Premier League, have further enhanced his prospects.

His debut goal for The Red Devils in a 4-2 FA Cup victory over Newport County has also added to his growing reputation.

Despite representing England at youth levels, Mainoo remains eligible to play for Ghana, a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Dr Randy Abbey, who expressed the GFA’s interest in potentially collaborating with the talented midfielder in the future.
